Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market investment bank may seek an Investment Banking Deal Lead (Analyst Level) to take primary responsibility for managing deal execution while supporting senior bankers on client strategy. This role combines financial modeling, transaction oversight, and direct client interaction, giving candidates early exposure to leading M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial analysis and maintain complex models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to evaluate potential transactions
Own components of deal execution, including due diligence, data room management, and transaction coordination
Conduct industry research, benchmarking, and valuation analyses to support deal strategy
Prepare and deliver pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations with minimal supervision
Support M&A, capital markets, and restructuring transactions from start to finish
Collaborate closely with senior bankers to ensure alignment with client strategy and deal objectives
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts where applicable
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, private equity, or related fields is highly desirable
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet)
